The Slab Handling Crane is a heavy-duty electric overhead bridge crane manufactured by Henan Mine, specifically engineered for the steel industry to transport large, high-temperature steel slabs and billets from continuous casting lines to slab storage yards, reheating furnaces, and rolling mill feeding areas . This crane operates under extreme conditions with slab temperatures exceeding 650°C and strong radiant heat, featuring heat-resistant structural design, forged alloy steel wheels with ~20% improved wear resistance, and intelligent systems including anti-sway control and semi-automatic cruise positioning .

Application
This YB slab handling overhead crane is a special metallurgical equipment designed for continuous casting lines and finished product warehouses, used for handling, stacking and loading/unloading high-temperature or normal-temperature slabs. It features high efficiency, stability and reliability to meet the high-frequency continuous operation requirements of the metallurgical industry
Core Application – Slab Handling Crane
1.Continuous Casting Outfeed – Transfers red-hot steel slabs (650°C+) from continuous casting machines to the slab storage yard immediately after production.
2.Reheating Furnace Charging – Feeds cold or warm slabs into reheating furnaces prior to rolling in plate or hot strip mills.
3.Rolling Mill Feed – Positions individual slabs onto the roller table leading to the roughing stands of a rolling mill.
4.Slab Yard Management – Stacking, unstacking, and organizing slab inventory in outdoor or indoor slab storage yards.
5.Billet & Bloom Handling – Handling smaller square or rectangular billets and blooms for specialty steel products and forging operations.
6.Loading & Dispatch – Loading finished slabs onto rail cars or trucks for shipment to downstream customers or other facilities.

The linkage console is equipped with a PLC module and a human-machine interface touch screen, and is fitted with a WLK type master controller. The touch is clear, the gear positions are distinct, and it has a zero position self-resetting and locking device

The key structural components such as the main beam and end beam are treated with heat insulation protection measures, which can withstand high-temperature radiation and ensure long-term stable operation in high-temperature workshop environments
