Product Introduction
Metallurgical bridge cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes) are specialized lifting equipment used in metal smelting environments. They feature a single-point lifting mechanism, a forged hook as the lifting device, and are equipped with gantry-type lifting gear. They are used for lifting liquid molten metals and are equipped with various safety protection devices such as safety brakes. At the same time, high-temperature resistant measures have been taken for key parts. For instance, the insulation at the bottom of the main beam, the steel core wire rope, the use of high-temperature resistant cables for the trolley drag cable and their integration into the walkway, etc. The crane is equipped with the functions of vertical lifting, longitudinal and lateral movement. It can perform operations such as lifting items and pouring molten metals in an intermittent and repetitive manner during the smelting process, with working levels ranging from A6 to A8.
The overhead crane is composed with girder frame, crane travelling device, and trolley with hook. The crane are equipped with main hook and aux hook, which makes the crane lifting and dumping ladle easily in steel mill. This model crane is for lifting small ladle.The foundry crane is designed and manufactured in accordance with GB standard. This model crane is available in various designs and configurations to ensure that you get the perfect system for ladle handling.

Core Applications – Overhead Crane For Metallurgic Plants
1.Ladle Handling & Steel Transfer – Lifts and transports liquid steel ladles (75-320 tons, up to 600 tons) from basic oxygen furnaces or electric arc furnaces to continuous casting machines or teeming platforms, with redundant safety systems for molten metal protection .
2.Furnace Charging (Converter & Electric Arc Furnace) – Adds scrap steel, pig iron, and alloy materials into converters or electric arc furnaces using feeding boxes, with the main hoist supporting heavy loads while the auxiliary hoist handles material boxes .
3.Slab & Billet Handling – Transports high-temperature steel slabs (≥150mm thickness, up to 650°C+) from continuous casting areas to slab storage yards, reheating furnaces, and rolling mill feed lines for plate or hot strip production .
4.Slag Handling & Ladle Skull Breaking – Empties slag pots and steel drums using the auxiliary trolley, performs waste slag removal operations, and breaks ladle skulls after tapping, with corrosion-resistant construction for harsh environments .
5.Foundry Mold & Ingot Handling – Moves heavy molds, ingots, and castings in foundry melt shops, supporting both mold preparation and finished casting removal in high-temperature, high-dust conditions .
6.Steel Coil & Scrap Processing – Handles hot-rolled or cold-rolled steel coils, pig iron, and revert scrap in rolling mill yards, with optional electromagnetic spreaders or clamps for efficient material flow through storage and staging areas .
