Casting bridge cranes are the main handling equipment for smelting workshop of steel works. They are used for conveying, pouring and hot metal charging of liquid metal in smelting process. YZS casting bridge crane, adopting main crab and auxiliary crab, and four-girder and four-rail structure, is composed of bridge, main crab, auxiliary crab, connecting traverse, trolley travelling mechanism and electric part. The main crab runs at the rails outside the bridge, and the auxiliary crab runs at the rails inside the bridge. The main crab employs the connecting transverse as the load handling device to hoist steel ladle, and the auxiliary crab, employing the hook as the load handling device, runs across under the main crab to accomplish pouring of molten steel and steel slag, and other auxiliary hoisting in coordination with the main hook.

Metallurgical bridge cranes (hereinafter referred to as cranes) are specialized lifting equipment used in metal smelting environments. They can perform operations such as lifting items, pouring molten metals, and tilting in an intermittent and repetitive manner during the smelting process. They are equipped with functions of vertical lifting, longitudinal and lateral movement. The lifting device is a gantry type lifting gear or hook, with a working level of A6 to A8. It adopts a four-beam, four (six) track, and double trolley structure. The main trolley's lifting device is a double-lifting point fixed gantry plate hook, and the auxiliary trolley's lifting device is a forged hook. Each runs on its own track, enabling operations such as lifting molten metals, turning bags, and lifting general items.

1.Molten Steel Transfer – Lifts and transports 100-500 ton steel ladles from basic oxygen furnaces or electric arc furnaces to continuous casting machines or teeming platforms.
2.Ladle Pouring into Continuous Casters – Pours molten steel from the ladle into the tundish at a controlled rate, with the auxiliary trolley tilting the ladle as the main trolley supports it.
3.Converter Shop Mixing Furnace Feeding – Transports hot metal from blast furnaces to mixing furnaces or directly to basic oxygen furnaces for steelmaking.
4.Slag Handling & Hot Metal Transfer – Empties steel drums and handles slag pots using the auxiliary trolley, performing waste slag removal and ladle skull breaking operations.

6.Redundant Emergency Operation – Operates at reduced speed using only half of the drive motors in the event of a mechanical failure, maintaining critical production continuity.
